Tips from locals
Basilic and Monastery (sightseeing possible), very good restaurant and brewery in the yard.
Have authentic Czech food in calm settings at a monastery on the outskirts of the city. They make their own beer and don't be surprised if you see a monk with a cold one on the next table.
Brevnov Monastery is the oldest Czech monastery. It was founded in 993 by Prince Boleslav II. and Prague Bishop Adalbert.
A bit far from the Old Town, but worth visiting if you stay for more than just a day or two. Coplex includes park, orangery and a really good restaurant. This baroque style monastery has even it´s own brewery. Take tram 22, 25 to get there (Prague 6), pieceful and not crowded with tourists.
