Tips from locals
Beautiful lowland walking through the forest. There are guide books in the kitchen and one contains detailed instructions for a walk that starts from the canal. Easy walking but stunning.
A Deep, wooded valley containing a powerful river that forms several waterfalls and enclosed sections; also caves, old railway lines and industrial sites. Situated near the A465 heads of the valley road in Brynmawr.
Walk in the steep-sided woodland and marvel at the dramatic waterfalls in the Clydach Gorge or cycle up the Clydach Gorge cycle path which follows a gentle gradient all the way from Abergavenny to Brynmawr. Access the railway path at Govilon where it crosses the canal.
