Tips from locals
There is only one road into Kenai Fjords National Park, where you can visit the Nature center, hike to a view of Exit Glacier, or embark in the much more strenuous, but phenomenal Harding Icefield Trail Hike.
Take a day cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park. Well worth the trip! See kenaifjords.com or majormarine.com for more info on day cruises.
Kenai Fjords National Park was established as a national monument in 1978. It became a national park in 1980 to preserve the fjord and rainforest ecosystems, Harding Icefield, abundant wildlife and historical and archeological remains, and to provide visitor access. An amazing experience you won't want to miss!
Home to Exit Glacier, this National Park is free to the public and a short drive from the cabin. Or take the bikes for a full day of adventure!
