Tips from locals
Use your GPS navigation to get there, because it's a bit of a secret gem tucked away near downtown. There's a walking trail, beautiful views of the point where the Kansas River flows into the Missouri River, and historic markers about Lewis and Clark's journey west. (Spoiler alert: they landed on Kaw Point).
This historic spot is the point of meeting between the Missouri River and the Kansas (Kaw) River. The Lewis & Clark expedition camped here on their way west in 1806.
This is where Lewis & Clark camped when they came through back in 1804. Beautiful little river-front park with hiking trails and a beautiful view of KC's Skyline.
