This is the loveliest historic village with a gorgeous village green opposite the Earle Arms gastropub, where families meet up and bring their chairs and picnics. It's approx 2 miles from our cottage and takes about 40 mins to walk

Heydon is a delightful discovery, off the beaten track but with a collection of small artisan businesses, the village is an idyllic example of unspoiled, rural England. You can wander through the village or walk in the park. There is a pub, a tea room , bakery , floral design and artisan store , antiques shop, interiors and clothing studio. One road in, one road out!
