Hiking/biking trails from half mile to 7 miles! Calcasieu River throughout park, along with swamp to see the gators and fish, and lots of other wildlife (esp snakes!)
About 15 miles to the north is Sam Houston Jones State Park. Enjoy the outdoors. You will see an array of wildlife here including duck, geese, turtles, alligators, nutria rats, otters, etc. This park is located on the West Fork of the Calcasieu River and there is 2 boat launches available. At the time I am writing this I believe the admission is $3 a person to get in for the day.
