Amazing high end restaurant for those who value a good service with a hint of luxury. From food to drinks - an amazing place.
The former office of the Anchor Line Steamship Company who sailed from Glasgow to New York - the ship's names are memorialised in the beautiful cornicing adorning the walls.
Following the tradition of French brasseries, The Anchor Line is a great bar and restaurant, where everything on the menu is perfect.
Old style, ship-shape service in a stunning high Victorian building which, back in the golden age of travel, was the headquarters of the Anchor Line Shipping Company. The interior has been beautifully restored and is tantalisingly evocative of a glamorous, bygone era. A mainly classic menu of oysters, steaks and seafood. I’m a big fan of the lobster, mac & cheese.
