We use the term "beach" loosely here... low tide is your best bet if you want to see sand. Otherwise still a great area to hike, see the lighthouse, or relax in the sun.

Hendrick’s Head Beach is located on beautiful Southport Island! This gorgeous spot offers lighthouse views and access to a small island that’s fun for the whole family to explore. There is a small nature preserve walk in the woods close by. Be sure to check out the Hendrick’s Head Lighthouse while visiting this beach!
