Alona Park - Mei Kedem (in Hebrew, "Ancient Waters") is the Ancient Underground Water Tunnel built 2000 years ago, as a part of an engineering system designed once to provided the water to the city of Caesarea. You can now tour in a section length of 250-290m of tunnel with cool water. Fun tour, beautiful views and suitable for the whole family. !!!. Mei Kedem is NOT at the same location as the Aqueduct. It is in Park Alona about a 15min drive, near Moshav Amikam! INSTRUCTION: Get to Alona Park, both Waze and Google Maps have directions to this address, free parking is available. Entrance into the tunnel is done in groups with a guide heading each group. Tours depart every 30 minutes, and begin with a short movie with information about the tunnel and its construction YOU NEED: water shoes, a flashlight and a complete change of clothing (there’s a place to change and they sell cheap flashlights) After the park, then drive to Caesarea to see the remains of the aqueduct as well as the other Roman ruins. It's like being in Rome and really gives you a sense of ancient Roman engineering and how far that empire reached. Plus, the beach is beautiful
