Free. Great museum with lots of local information and artifacts. Numerous event.
Spend a lazy afternoon exploring the history of the city that was once only accessible by boat.
This is a great little historic museum... And while visiting the museum you can have lunch and some of the local places and visit some of the other highlights of Everglades City...
This is one of the oldest buildings in town. It used to be the old laundry building, built in 1927 for Barron Gift Collier's employees. It is now the Museum of the Everglades, which has a nice short, self-guided free exhibit on the history of our area, and on the history of the building. Great place to go to start your visit to Everglades City! They are open 9 am to 4 pm Monday-Saturday I think.
