A must for bird lovers. One of the best bird sanctuaries in Cape Town. Get there early or even enquire about their overnight stays in the middle of the reservoir.

This vlei (Afrikaans for lake) is a great open space for a jog, (5km all the way round and back) or just to be close to the water. You can also take our kayak and easily go for a paddle to the island.
