0.3 mile trail to see Earthquake fault, which is 10 feet wide and 60 feet deep. The Earthquake Fault was formed by tectonic stresses in the earth's crust.
Not really an earthquake fault- more of a chasm caused by multiple earthquakes. Still a cool little side trip and really close by.
This is a cute short stroll through the forest to see one of the fault lines.
Its a very nice and scenic drive to get to this place. Once you park the car there are picnic tables and lots of room for kids to play in the area adjacent to the crack, winter or summer. The crack hike is very minor (steps) but the experience is cool, especially for kids.
