The Round Corner Tavern was opened in 1938 - one year after 2330 S Street was built - and is not actually named for the rounded art-deco style corner of the building (24th and S Streets) but rather for the pool tables that have been a staple of this haunt ever since the day it opened. One of the simplest and best dive bars in town - and there is plenty of competition! Better yet, they have a great kitchen. Order the tacos, great with either Tri Tip or Potatoes.
