Tips from locals
It focuses on Baja California style food, a state in Mexico that is close to the coast and even closer to the best vineyards in the country. Expect fantastic seafood, amazing slow-roasted meats like rabbit and wild boar. And do not skip out of recommendations from the staff for the best Mexican wines to pair with your main courses.
Located on an elegant boulevard around one of La Condesa’s beautiful parks, MeroToro never fails to attract the city’s elite. The restaurant boasts an excellent surf and turf menu which maintains the customers’ interest: it is constantly being renovated, offering a small but attractive range of starters, mains and desserts, which are all made using local produce as much as possible. MeroToro’s bustling atmosphere does not take away from the luxurious setting, but it is advisable to book in advance if you are planning on having a special evening out!

If you are into fish and Baja, Merotoro is one of the highest-quality restaurants in this list (also a bit more expensive than the rest). We love the fresh fish and how they prepare it. They also have rare but great Mexican wines so we always let the waiter choose it. Make reservations in advance.
