Tips from locals
A quaint little historical museum at the park and pavilion, this is a great place to get a taste of old mining culture and a history of the area!
This is a perfect (FREE!) activity for families and groups. The town of Frisco moved historic buildings from the area to this park so you can stroll through history in an interactive and interesting way. Stop by the School House (Donations Appreciated), where you can pick up your passport to be stamped at each building you visit on the grounds. Kids LOVE it! They also love locking each other in the jail, playing dress up in the seamstress' house, and seeing what a phone looked like in the late 1800's. Kids don't love sitting in the Chapel pews. Don't miss the model train in the School House - every time we visit we see something new. Challenge: Find the outhouse :)
