Where Norman Rockwell's models are your tour guides, at the Arlington Gallery in Arlington, hometown of Norman Rockwell 1939-53, on historic Route 7A. Go south on Route 30 for about 20 miles to Manchester. Turn left on Route 7A, go about 7-9 miles to Arlington.
An exhibit focusing on Norman Rockwell's years in Arlington, 1939-1953. Rockwell used over 200 local models for his works. The exhibit displays reproductions of many of his works as well as stories about many of the townspeople who were his models.
Norman Rockwell lived in the town of Arlington, VT for many years, and painted many of his iconic paintings there. One of the best parts of the exhibition is getting to see the local people from Arlington who were models in some of his most memorable images.
