This lovely nature reserve is well worth the drive. Park across the road from the reserve and have your picnic by a small stream before heading into the quiet magic of the native forest.
The reserve consists of 85 acres of bush, donated by Mr Henry Sharplin in 1926. Before that time it was milled, so the only old surviving trees would be those not suitable for timber at that time. The long loop is posted as a 1-hour walk, with the short loop at 20 minutes. However, both loops together are about 3.2 km in length and can be walked in about 1 hour, while taking time for photos and reading the information panels.

Nature walk suitable for all ages. There are at least two options for walking: a short loop that is about 18 minutes long according to the sign, and a long loop that is around an hour long. The short loop has no steps. 5 minute drive.
