Kodai-ji Temple is especially famous for some of the historical personages and artifacts associated with it; but it is a beautiful temple and deserves to be visited in its own right.
located north east of Yasaka Hokanji Temple at the foot of Higashiyama Ryozen Mountains in Kyoto. established in 1606 by Kita-no-Mandokoro (1548-1624) in memory of her late husband Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
