A couple miles from Avebury's three stone circles, mysterious Silbury Hill is the tallest prehistoric man-made mound in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.

The largest Ancient man-made mound in the world. No mean feet when you see it and realise the wheel had not been invented then or the shovel...sadly you can not walk up it anymore but quite impressive when you think how it mush have been built.

The biggest and most impressive of a huge number of pre-historic burial sites in the region. Have a look and get some lunch at the Bell at West Overton afterwards.
