My favorite greasy spoon breakfast place. Not fancy. Can be a small wait on weekends. Coffee sucks. The bandit sandwich is "heaven on earth".
It's a great place to have breakfast if you are looking for a very casual breakfast. Especially if you hung out all night downtown the night before :)
Why we love it: It’s a great ol’ fashioned diner with orange vinyl booths and homestyle cooking. You almost expect to see Alice come out of the kitchen door. It’s a locals joint for sure. What to order: Start with a plate sized sticky bun. Can’t go wrong from there, although their eggs benedict is not my favorite.
This is the epitome of after hours greasy-spoon dive restaurants. Famous in Boise for its late night fare.
Another great "dive" spot. This is the kind of place that hasn't changed in decades...and you hope won't. Try the maple-nut cinnamon roll. And don't worry about the feeling of shame you will feel after eating it all yourself. You can atone for your food sins later.
