Tips from locals
If you're in the mood for a weird, secret Tokyo-vibe bar and restaurant, look no further.
One of the few American Style bars in the neighborhood. Its upstairs inside the building. If the bartender Mike is working tell him I sent you, he'll hook you up!
This oddball spot 2 blocks south on 6th is often still open when everything else is closed. No frills food & full bar.
Fort St. George is one of our favorite late night spots in Chinatown. Their menu features interesting Japanese interpretations of American comfort food - our favorite is the spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic mayo. It sounds weird, but it's delicious. They also pour strong drinks if that's what you're into, and there's Karaoke downstairs.
