A bit further out, but a lovely drive. This place has a charming hand sculpted interior and in summer you can sit out back on the terrace which overlooks the Catskill Creek. The Yellow Deli is one of many such restaurants created and owned by the twelve tribes, which is an odd religious cult who has members and communities across the globe. They are friendly and the place is very creatively decorated. Not many options for vegetarians but they raise their meat on their farm and make tasty baked goods.

Good breakfasts and lunches 10 minutes away in Oak Hill's old opera house. Open most days, but not Saturdays.
