Ireland has its fair share of farmers markets, but one of the most impressive is the Milk Market in Limerick. The market started in 1852, but the structure you see today was renovated in the 1990s and features a domed canopy, which is where you'll often be able to hear live music. The market operates on the weekends, from Friday to Sunday, but Saturday is the big market day. This is where visitors will be able to browse from stall to stall to try everything from fresh fish and farmhouse cheeses to chutneys, sandwiches, chocolates, and tea. Sundays are held for community activities, like crafts, food, fashion, yoga, and tai chi.

Ireland’s oldest weekly market, The Milk Market is an enduring Limerick institution where you can pick up the best artisan food or fresh family essentials, each weekend. You’ll see traditional fare like crubeens alongside fresh seafood and homemade sauces as you soak up the buzz and chatter you’d expect from a working market.

Simultaneously a performance venue and a working market, you can sometimes find yourself at a music festivals or an outdoor cinema. The market is on Saturdays only from 8am to 3pm
