Footdee is a residential area, known locally as "Fittie". It is an old fishing village at the east end of the harbour. It is nice for a walk, you can head to Aberdeen Beach from here. There are some nice little houses that give you a feel of how Aberdeen must had been some years ago, specially before the Oil and Gas industry took over as main economical activity. Fishing was all there was before the Seventies.

Where Aberdeen originated from... a hidden gem of quaint, tiny fishing cottages tucked away at the end of Aberdeen beach. The excellent Silver Darling seafood restaurant is nearby also.
Lovely fishing village with excellent views over the sea, and harbour. Well maintained war memorial for those fallen during WW1 and WW2. There is also the lighthouse, only open once a year during Doors Open Day, which will be the 8th September.
