Tips from locals
Accessible by water travel, this is a great small man-made island to enjoy. Known for snorkeling, camping, and marine life watching.
Great beach and huge sand bar! About a mile around with mostly paver path and a calm lagoon which may have manatee from time to time. Lifeguards around one side of the island. Check out the shuttle to get there.
Take a ferry or boat. Great island for lunch, snorkeling. The old Kennedy bunker was here.
You can rent a row boat or Kayak and paddle over. It is uninhabbited. JFK had a bunker on the island.
