Tips from locals
Plas Mawr built for Robert Wynn, a well travelled courtier and an influencial Welsh merchant, is an architectural gem. The finest surviving town house of the Elizabethean era to be found anywhere in Britain, it stands as a symbol of a prosperous and buoyant age. Plas Mawr is one of Britain's finest town houses of the golden Elizabethan age, built in the 18th Century in the town of Conwy. It has had millions of pounds spent on it renovating it back to it's former glory. A fascinating afternoon can spent here and it is rumoured to be haunted!
