Historic house open to the public and worth a visit.A picture-perfect landmark on Eyemouth’s harbourside, Gunsgreen House is not only now home to an informative museum, telling the story of a dark past of smuggling and illegal imports, but somewhere to stop off and enjoy afternoon tea and a browse of local artefacts in the retail shop.
A house built by a tea smuggler. This will entertain the children who are encouraged to smuggle their own bag of tea to a drop off point. Adults will also find it interesting.
Very interesting museum with lots of information about the local smuggling trade. Open Easter - October.
