We visited twice on the same day. The first visit was with our tour group and there was just enough time to see the Palace and a bit of the gardens, but not time for the walk up the hill to Gloriette. The view of Vienna from up there is amazing and I am glad we returned for this. There are paved walkways and one can just walk on the grass, but it is steep going. The large gardens are free. Admission is charged to the zoo. The gardens themselves are well cared for and the blooming plants change as the seasons do. This is best seen on a nice dry day, as there is much walking.
