If you are interested in nature, outdoor recreation, and sustainable living, FortWhyte Alive is for you! Winter activities: X-country skiing, tobogganning, ice fishing, snowshoeing. Summer activites: canoeing, fishing, walking, cycling. rentals for activies are available. A 29 minute drive.

This 640 acre nature reserve’s bounty includes space for fishing, ice fishing, skating, canoeing and sailing. Features include kilometres of forested walking and cycling paths, North America’s largest urban bison herd and the Buffalo Stone café which utilizes ingredients grown on the adjacent FortWhyte farm.
