Of all the festivals held at the Rhinebeck Fairgrounds this has to be hands down the best one! There is so much to see and do. Kids love it and if you are interested in purchasing real handmade goods this is a must. There are many exhibits for the whole family to enjoy. Watch a sheep get sheared and see the wool become yarn. One of my favorites is Cinnamon, just South of Rhinebeck. If you are a vegetarian you’ll appreciate this authentic Indian restaurant. For more traditional fare treat yourself to dinner at The Beekman Arms.

*October* The Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck turns into a Mecca for fiber artists, craft enthusiasts, and livestock farms for one weekend every fall. Visitors can participate in workshops, view demonstrations, and purchase anything from weaving materials to handmade baskets and everything in between. Truly a one-of-a-kind festival!
