Tips from locals
Stunning short hike through a variety of ecosystems. The rail trail has a nice view of farms and a beaver pond (have seen beavers there multiple times), and the spur part of the trail takes you through ferns and a pine forest.
Easy/flat first mile, followed by a more challenging 2 mile spur. Get a beer at Weaver Hollow after, or walk downtown Andes to shop or eat.
The Andes Rail Trail spans 4 mi. from Andes Train Depot (off Cabin Hill Road/Depot Street/ CR 2) to Bullet Hole Creek. It is an easily accessible hiking trail in an idyllic setting, suitable for individuals and families of all ages.
