United States Botanic Garden (USBG), established by the U.S. Congress is 1820, is one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America.
This wonderful garden is on the US Capitol Grounds and is managed by the Architect of the Capitol. It serves as a living plant museum and would be a great spot to start or end your day. During the winter holiday season they have a great train track that runs throughout the facility.
Founded in 1820 and in continuous operation since 1850, the United States Botanic Garden (USBG) is the oldest continuously operating botanic garden in North America. The Garden informs visitors about the importance, value, and diversity of plants, as well as their aesthetic, cultural, economic, therapeutic and ecological significance.
