The baroque palace of Ca'Pesaro on the Gran Canal houses a big collection of the modern art that now is one of the most appreciated in Venice including works of art by Matisse, Klimt and Kandisky.
Built in the second half of the seventeenth century for the noble and wealthy Pesaro family, nowadays Ca' Pesaro is home of 19th- and 20th-century collections of paintings and sculptures, including masterpieces by Klimt and Chagall and remarkable works by artists such as Kandinsky, Klee and Moore, as well as a rich selection of works by Italian artists and an important section on graphic art.
