The Roadside Tavern is the place I can absolutely recommend. Award-winning chef Peter Jackson and his team are creating dishes that will make you go back for more. The Roadside also houses the Burren Brewery, a micro-brewery which was voted among the top 3 craft breweries in Ireland by Lonely Planet Global Beer Guide. You have to try their beers: Burren Black (stout), Burren Gold (lager) and Burren Red (red ale). Short history: It's a pub established in 1865, and it also used to be a bakery and butter market. It has been in the same family for 3 generations. It's very authentic without trying to be. This place is very busy, so booking is advised (or be there early!). In summer, musicians often play trad music after the kitchen closes (ca. 8pm). Great atmosphere.
