The Butchart Gardens is a 118-year-old internationally-renowned 55-acre display garden located in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Created by Jennie Butchart, and still privately owned and operated by the family, The Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, in 2004 for its one hundredth birthday. 30-minute drive from here.

Not to be missed, but leave 3-4 hours to see it all and enjoy afternoon tea. Take the Mill Bay/Brentwood Bay ferry as an alternate scenic route.

World Renowned. This cannot be missed. Summer concerts on Saturdays with fireworks or a winter wonderland of spectacular lights as you walk through the 12 days of Christmas. The gardens have something for everyone all year round.
