Andrew and Ann welcome you to our beautiful Victorian age Bed and Breakfast, in the centre of Ambleside, The Lake District. We are situated in the centre of Ambleside, but off the main road. There are many fantastic restaurants and bars right on our doorstep as well as lots of the Lake Districts most scenic hiking trails. 'Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at.' Canadian guests, Sep, 2024. Our Lakeland Farmhouse, High Park in the English Lake District, is in the centre of a World Heritage Site. It was built in 1620, once owned by Beatrix Potter, surrounded by hills and trees, and with astounding views. At night, the silence is total. We offer a king-size double bed, satellite TV and WIFI, your own bathroom too with great water pressure and piping hot water. Plus your own downstairs sitting/dining room .

Dale house barn offers charming and rustic accomodation for up to 12 people. The 400 year old barn had a large wood burning stove and oven and some old fashioned radiators. There is a separate kitchen, 2 toilets and 2 showers. It benefits from its own small garden over looking the meadow with a bbq area. Sleeping is mattresses on the floor. You will need to bring your own bedding. It is a perfect set up for exploring the forest of Bowland and enjoying the outdoors. The barn has wifi.
