Add or change your profile photo
Your profile photo is a powerful tool for building trust and making real-world connections within the Airbnb community. Whether you're a guest who booked the perfect stay or a host welcoming guests into your home, a clear and recognizable profile photo can help establish credibility and authenticity.
When selecting a profile photo, our guided photo capture experience will try to locate your face and give you AI-powered tips to help the camera ensure your face is clear and visible. If you’re adding a photo with multiple people, you may see a tip recommending you to zoom in to just you– so others will know who they’re interacting with. We may also auto-zoom to center your head, suggest you provide a photo where you face toward the camera, or let you know if your photo is too blurry. Additionally, we’ll recommend against adding a photo that doesn’t feature you at all – such as a photo of a landscape or an animal. Keep in mind that these tips are optional – you can bypass our recommendations if you prefer and add the photo of your choice.
As a reminder, while Host photos are always visible on Airbnb, we don’t show your profile photo as a guest until after your host has accepted your booking. Additionally, while we recommend a profile photo for all Airbnb users, it’s not mandatory for guests.
