Guests rely on ratings and reviews to understand the quality of a home before they book. But guests have told us that it’s been too hard to find reviews that are relevant to them.

That’s why we’ve redesigned the ratings page and added three new features that make reviews easier to read and much more helpful.

Ratings distribution

In the reviews section on your listing page, a new chart shows the distribution of reviews from one to five stars. This lets guests quickly see the number of positive and negative reviews throughout the history of your home.

Review sorting

Guests can now sort your reviews by highest-rated or most recent, making it easy to find the reviews they care about most. This allows them to either read all of your five-star reviews in one place or browse your reviews, starting with the most recent ones.

Reviewer and trip details

The star rating will now appear next to each review, putting guests’ feedback into better context. If a guest rates your place with four stars but leaves a glowing review, future guests will have a better sense of your overall rating.

Reviews also include more information about the reviewer and their trip, including where they’re from, how long they stayed, and whether they traveled with family, pets, or in a group. This will help future guests find reviews that match their own trip details.

For example, if a guest traveled with kids, the tag Stayed with kids would appear above their review. If a guest stayed for seven nights, Stayed a week would appear above their review.*

Improved ratings and reviews, the new Listings tab, and even more upgrades for Hosts are part of the Airbnb 2023 Winter Release.
