This Commies house (customs office/former BORDER/ TAX CONTROL Office ) is one of the oldest houses at the mouth of the North Sea Canal. The house dates from 1875 and thus forms the basis of the later IJmuiden. With the largest sea lock in the world within walking distance and beach and fishing port within a radius of 1 km, this place is an ideal starting point for day trips. Haarlem (15 min.) and Amsterdam (30min.) are also easily accessible. Public transport bus and train - are available as well as free parking.

Close to the dunes (Zuid Kennemerland National Parc), the beach, the city Haarlem (15 minutes) and Amsterdam city centre (30 minutes by car or direct by train). Want to chill & relax? Warm up by the wood stove after a long beach walk or enjoy from the terrace in front of the setting sun. From the balcony at the bedroom you can see the sun rise in the morning over the dune landscape, where deer are often seen. The house is spacious, has 2.5 floors and is fully equipped. Quiet house close to the beach and 20 min Amsterdam

Live close to the beach, Haarlem and Amsterdam city center! Within 20 minutes on beach or in a restaurant. We renovated our house from 1915 in 2020. It has a garden on the south with lots of privacy. The front overlooks a dike with sheep. At the back, a water. The living room has plenty of space and is light through the French doors. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. there is space for 3 adults, or 2 adults with 2 small children.
