The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

Waterfront - The Red Camp at Lake Bistineau

About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets. Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries began the annual drawdown to control the salvinia weed on July 29. There is always water in view of the house and we drag the kayaks to the water's edge to use them.
