The three-mile hike at Rainbow Lake leads to an alpine lake with spectacular views of the aspen groves that illuminate the trail. The Boreas Pass Road leads to the well-known Golden Tunnel, an archway created by aspens, which dazzles in brilliant shades of orange and yellow during the autumn months.

In winter, Frisco transforms into a winter paradise as the powder-fresh snow blankets the trees and mountaintops. The season also provides a retreat for winter sports lovers as the fresh snowfall creates exceptional conditions for ice-fishing on Lake Dillon and skiing and snowboarding at some of the world’s most popular ski resorts. Frisco experiences balmy weather through the spring and summer months, creating excellent conditions for hiking, biking, and various water-based activities.

Frisco Historic Park and Museum

Frisco Historic Park and Museum contains 11 original historic buildings, including a traditional teepee from the Ute Tribe, an old jail, and the Schoolhouse Museum, which showcases exhibits, artifacts, and photographs highlighting the town’s heritage and history. Other notable sights include Bill’s Ranch House, an 1895 log home, and mining cabins.

Frisco Bay Marina

The Frisco Bay Marina, situated on the shores of Dillon Reservoir, comprises a little over 3,200 acres of Lake Dillon and nearly 30 miles of shoreline. The town’s lifeblood, the marina features a sandy beach, exciting recreational activities, and water-side dining. And the marina shop offers canoe, kayak, and sailboat rentals.

Sapphire Point Overlook Trail

Situated between Keystone and Breckenridge, at an elevation of 9,500 feet, is where you’ll find Sapphire Point Overlook Trail. The short loop, which runs just under one mile, offers stunning views of the Dillon Reservoir and the surrounding Gore and Tenmile mountain ranges. Halfway through the hike, two to three picnic tables provide postcard perspectives of the lake, making a delightful spot for a lunch break.
