Big & Cozy East Nashville Retreat

This renovated 1920's bungalow is in the thick of it all in East Nashville. Within 5-10 minutes walking distance from some of the tastiest places in the city, this home will plant you in the middle of a food and drink paradise. You would never even need to get in a car to have a good time, but if you choose, we are also a very close drive to the Titans stadium, and right across the Cumberland River from downtown. Our home has been remodeled from the studs ten years ago and again with more upgrades in 2013. It retains the character of the original house and neighborhood, but with modern comfort. There is plenty of room for a large group to hang out in the living/dining space, but there are also several smaller nooks to nestle yourself away if you would like- one of the endearing features of older homes. Four bedrooms feature a queen sized bed in each, for total sleeping space for eight. There are three full bathrooms, all with tubs, if you choose to take a soak. Towels and basic toiletries are provided. The kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless appliances, gas range & oven, dishes and utensils, and a drip coffee maker. If you decide to forgo an evening at one of the amazing restaurants close by, at one end of the street there are two grocery stores as well as Porter Road Butcher and the Bloomy Rind for locally sourced and delicious meats and cheeses to prepare and dine on at home. Open dining and living spaces feature casement windows to open and enjoy Southern breezes, comfortable furniture, dining table and chairs for 6. Help yourself to any of the records to spin on the vinyl record player. The den has a 32" flat screen tv, including Xfinity cable and free wifi. The French doors in this room lead out to the back deck that has a sitting area and looks out over the fenced-in private yard. The wide front porch is perfect for relaxing with plenty of seating, including a porch swing, and a ceiling fan for warm days & nights. It is surrounded by hydrangeas and boxwoods and is a great perch for people watching all the comings and goings to the restaurants and nightlife at both ends of the street. Parking for two cars is available in the driveway that stretches to the back, more cars can fit along the driveway if you don't mind blocking each other in, and there is abundant street parking as well. Guests will be renting the house entirely- you will have access to everything in the house. There is another building on the back half of the property that is a rented music studio. It is fenced off and has separate road access and parking, so you won't have any interaction or interference from it. I live a little further back in the neighborhood, so I will be easily accessible if you need anything at all. Between my husband and I, we have lived in almost every neighborhood in the city. We have lived specifically in east nashville for over a decade. We are always happy to answer questions and give advice on the area! Set in fun East Nashville, the house is steps away from an array of vibrant restaurants, charming boutique shops, and cultural spots. Downtown’s iconic live music taverns, honky tonks, and barbecue joints are 2 miles away. There are city bus stops at both ends of our street- about half a block away each.
