3 miles from concerts. Relax by your own, personal pool and roast marshmallows by the fire in the private back yard. Then come inside and enjoy a foosball game at the living room table. This is a peaceful and centrally-located place, in a safe neighborhood. It’s about 5 minutes away from everything in Bangor, and a little over an hour away from the Bar Harbor area, depending on traffic. The entire house is available to you, including the yard, fire pit and pool out back. The pool is unheated.

We truly want Everyone to feel welcome here! Bar Harbor is a scenic 45 minute drive away. There is great hiking/xc skiing in our huge back yard (Sunrise trail/Maine reserve land) Rustic farm apartment with full kitchen, breakfast foods provided first day. Farm veg can be bought in season & our own wine, jam, hot sauce, maple syrup. Can accommodate 6 folks, one in a cupola! Hot shower & heat. There is a sawdust compost toilet-Easy to use & no smell! We are on Wabanaki land, give all respect.

Our 1847 farmhouse is centrally located on Mt.Desert Island. A private entrance leads to an upstairs, sunlit, suite with a queen bedroom, living room with futon, private bath, and kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffeemaker. The house and stable, which once served the livery needs of Mt. Desert, are located on one of the major island roads. Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and the 'Quiet Side' of MDI are all close by, but be prepared for summer traffic.

Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights all year. Enjoy Acadia National Park. 1885 home and grounds are a mixture of old farmhouse and updated design/functioning. In Somesville Village (on a main road) with Acadia Nationsl Park and Bar Harbor minutes away. The house has a kitchen with dining area, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath. Studio/office is available for a third bedroom in 2024. We are year round residents and love to share our home ,garden, field and woods.
