This is a historical Arts and Crafts home built in 1925 located a block from downtown Palatka, Florida. The location of the home is semi-commercial. Palatka is a rugged town with areas of distress and has taken longer to recover from recession. It has been identified as one of the poorest counties in the state of Florida. However, the people are quite friendly. There are numerous antiques stores and several great restaurants. Home is located blocks from St. Johns River and Ravine Gardens.

Awesome sunsets - Silver Sands is one of the few area lakes that is full and natural spring fed. Water is crystal clear and soft yes soft. 2 private decks, laundry room, and 2 carports. Two kayaks, Lake front swimming and fishing - come relax. 5 minute drive to groceries and gas. New fast WiFi , interior paint and metal roof. Pets are welcome but don’t we do charge a fee. We also charge a late checkout fee. Fireplace is not in service. RV pad with electric and water at 100 night option .

Please read the entire listing before booking. For some reason airbnb has us listed as a 7 minute walk from redwater lake. Yes, we are near it but we are on our own private lake which is right near the cottage. Our cottage is set on a gorgeous spring fed private lake in the woods. If you are looking for peace and quiet, a romantic getaway or fun with your kids, this is a great place to be! Kayak around the lake and watch the gorgeous sunsets. Swimming in the beautiful water is a must!
