After you apply and your eligibility is confirmed, you’ll be able to complete a profile on the experienced Co‑Host services platform. Once your profile is published, Hosts who are nearby and searching for help can connect directly with you.

Filling out your profile

Your profile is your best marketing tool. These five steps can help you have a compelling profile:

  1. Add your photo. A great photo is an important first step.

  2. Choose your display name. We suggest using your first name only.

  3. Fill out your bio. Introduce yourself and your hosting approach. Describe your services, skills, and what motivates you.

  4. Set your standard service fee. It’s up to you to choose your fee, to be agreed upon with each Host.

  5. Select your local service area. Add locations where you can provide local co-hosting services.

“I prefer to work with properties within 15 minutes of my home, as I’m very hands-on,” says Katie Kay, a Host Advisory Board member in Lake Arrowhead, California. “I visit each listing multiple times per week, so this is important.”

Taking a great profile photo

The most effective profile photos tend to share these qualities:

  • You’re the only person in the photo, centered in the frame

  • Portrait orientation, with room to crop

  • Simple background with natural light (outdoor shade works well)

  • Good quality (more than 800 pixels)

  • Not a selfie (ask someone to take it for you, or use a timer)

To keep it simple, avoid flash lighting, backlights, logos, and overly wide pictures.

Connecting with Hosts

Here’s how Hosts in your area will be able to find you:

  1. From the experienced Co‑Host landing page, Hosts tap or click on the “Find a Co‑Host near you” button and fill in their listing address.

  2. If you’re nearby, Hosts can discover your profile, including your name, photo, bio, and fee.

  3. Hosts send a message to one or more experienced Co‑Hosts to ask for help.

Airbnb also uses digital campaigns and targeted emails to let Hosts know about experienced Co‑Hosts.
