Sometimes listings have to be deactivated due to a maintenance issue, renovation, suspension, or something else. It’s simple to reactivate when you’re ready.

Preparing your listing for reactivation

Review your listing to make sure it’s accurate. If your listing was deactivated because of a quality issue, address the concern and ensure your listing reflects the updates before reactivating.

Double-check these factors.

  • Pricing: Compare your nightly price with the average prices of similar listings nearby to see whether it reflects the current market or should be updated.
  • Availability: Keep your calendar up to date to avoid canceling reservations.
  • Photos: Take new, high-quality photos to reflect the current state of your space.
  • Amenities: Include any new amenities, or consider adding amenities guests want.
  • Listing title: Use a short, easy-to-read title to help your place stand out in search results.
  • Listing description: Set the right expectations with clear, accurate details.
  • Check-in and checkout: Ensure your check-in and checkout instructions are still correct.
  • Checkout tasks: Review the basic tasks guests should complete before they leave, such as turning off the lights or locking the door.

Reactivating your listing

The process of reactivating a listing is simple. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Listings and select the listing you want to reactivate.
  2. Under Listing basics, go to Listing status.
  3. Change the Listing status to Listed.
  4. Tap or click Save.

Once you change your status to Listed, guests can usually find your place in search results within 24 hours, but it may take up to 72 hours.

If you use API-connected software, you’ll be able access these features from your software if your provider has integrated them. If not, contact your provider to find out when they’ll be available.
