The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views as the chalet elevation is 3,383 feet (Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink and rejuvenate your soul. NO four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet EXCEPT possibly in the winter months. The mountain roads are curvy and the subdivision is steep in parts but ALL the roads are paved and well maintained. Dog accepted w/ prior approval (fee applies).

A DOG MUST BE PRE-APPROVED and there will be an additional pet fee. I do not charge a cleaning fee as long as guest leave place clean as found. Charter cable TV and WIFI access provided. Also located on our 6 acre estate is another BNB rental the "BEARFOOT RETREAT" , a 3BR house should a larger group want to stay close together.
