Fall asleep to the sounds of the creek in this new home on 4 secluded acres. Central location is 15 minutes to the town of Salida or the b)h)iking trails of the Monarch Crest or Ski area. 2 miles to Poncha Springs with a full grocery store, restaurants, winery, Elevation brewery and more. The house is well appointed with everything except for Wi-Fi. A perfect excuse to unplug and relax. Easy, well maintained access road less than 2 miles from the highway. A great home base for many adventures!

Absolute peace and one with nature. No roads in sight from cabin, sans driveway. Direct access out the back door to a beautiful waterfall, hiking trails, and a 14er (Mt. Princeton). Unobstructed views of mountains and wildlife. Listen to the brook as it flows through property. In middle of wilderness, but close to amenities. Soothe your weary self in the Hot Springs brand private hot tub with lounger off back deck gazing at the billions of stars above. Firepit with seating (bring own firewood).

The River Retreat, right off of Hwy 50, is a short 10 minute drive from historical downtown Salida. This beautiful home sits just above the Arkansas River with stairs leading to the private riverfront property. Gold medal fishing, rafting, kayaking and swimming from the back door. Warm, cozy, southwestern ranch style home 100 feet from the South Arkansas river. We built it in 2014 and its on 20-acres with a private drive, 900' of riverfront with a trail, superb privacy with great views; its only 3.5-miles from downtown Salida and 18-miles from Monarch. We have a big garden, and goose, chickens, ducks, and guinea fowl (fresh eggs!), and we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk.
